If you follow me, you'll notice I've been on a CAS (clean and simple) kick lately. I love the clean space as well as the challenge to keep the card minimal but "enough".

Ink Road Stamps has some of the best collection of sentiments, and this one from Happy Holla Days was perfect for this lady from a retired Strawberry Jude Stamps set called Awesome Memes. I paper pieced her dress using Doodlebug Designs Christmas Town paper to tie in the Holly theme. A scattering of clear embossed snowflakes from the Ink Road's stamp set added just a hint of extra holiday cheer. The remainder of the image was watercolored with Arteza Real Brush Pens and a water brush, with a hint of shadow added to the paper pieced dress. The card is a bit oversized--4"x7"--and leaves a perfect amount of room for the eye to be drawn to the image of that (snarky) woman then to the sentiment. I hope she made you chuckle too! xo
