Welcome to the third day of peeks at our incredible release this February with Kindred Stamps. (Affiliate links used when possible; thank you!) I was so excited to work with our latest Limited Edition Box: Game On! What an incredible collection of products too! I even recorded two video tutorials--go kart assembly and instructions on how I created the two gift boxes.

I colored all of the characters with Spectrum Noir TriBlend alcohol markers, adding lines for larger eyes on a few of the characters (dino, turtle, and brown mushroom). I used the Card Builder Basics Die for the stitched stars on the rosettes and mini pocket letter.
Game Controller Box:
Bottom 8" x 5", score 1" on all sides
Top 7 1/16" x 4 1/16", score 0.5" on all sides
Black panel 2.5" x 5.75"
Grey panel 1.75" x 0.5"
To create the plus sign, layer two strips of paper measuring 1" x 0.25" as seen above. Trace template onto grey and black paper. Cut just outside the pencil lines on the grey and just inside (or on) the trace lines on the black. Flip pieces over (so pencil markings are on the back) and glue together.
Go Kart Box:
Bottom 8" x 7", score 2" on all sides
Top 6 1/16" x 5 1/16", score 1" on all sides
Top panel 3.75" x 2.75"
Side panels 2x 2.75" x 0.75" and 2x 3.75" x 0.75"

Paper rosettes are one of my favorite things to make and they are really very easy to assemble. I attached mine to plastic straws (cut in half); some call rosettes on sticks like this lollipops! They are perfect stuck into a cupcake for party decorations too!
Since I created rosettes using both sides of one 6"x6" sheet of patterned paper, I scored the entire piece every 0.25" (seen above). Then, cut against the scored lines every 1.5" to create 4 pieces of 1.5" x 6" strips of paper that are scored 0.25" along the 6" sides. Trust me, this is such a time saver to score like this. Next, accordion fold the scores (seen below). Make sure that you alternate the direction of the accordion folds for each matching pair. One end is up at the end while the other is down. You will adhere those sections together at both ends forming a circle.
After gluing the ends together to form a circle, train the folds into a flattened circle and hot glue that sucker together! You can use a circle of paper to hold it together--you'll cover it up anyway. Next, embellish away!!
I created a simple rolodex card using one of the Video Game Scene Builder dies to create the grassy border, patterned paper, and a trio of stamped images.
I created a mini pocket letter as well. The two on the ends would be great ATCs as well. (Hint hint.. the annual spring ATC swap will be announced soon!)
My final pair of projects are cards. LOL Finally, eh? I used the incredible Video Game Scene Builder dies for the card above and the brick paper for both. I couldn't resist these cute (super angry) pair of baddies! LOL Also, I didn't even use every character/image in the stamp set. That's crazy!
