Jaded Blossom's October Release: Day 2

The Jaded Blossom October release is almost here!  The design team will begin sharing makes every day this week leading up to release.  For Day 2 of sneak peeks, I'd love to share Happy Faces and Holiday Fun!  The silly faces can transform the sweet holiday images into all sorts of fun characters!  I've created two projects to share with you today using both sets.

I began by stamping the gingerbread, candy cane, and candy images randomly on two panels of paper using Catherine Pooler inks in dark brown, red, and green.  I loosely colored the images with Copic markers since I think it creates a fun look.  I added silly faces to the gingerbread images only, coloring in the eye dots and mouthes with white gel pen.  I painted a simple watercolor striped background for my card base layer, adding a smaller white panel on top with the sentiment from Bah Humbug 2, partially stamped with black and red then embossed in clear.  The silly panels were then adhered atop the white panel with foam adhesive.

 For the super funny gift tag below, I partially cut a tag using Mini Tag Dies 3, creating a tag stitched completely around but with only one fishtail end.  I watercolored the tag to match the card background and stamped the sentiment, also from Bah Humbug 2.  That tree is cracking up (and I hope its recipient will too)!
