What a release this month with Kindred Stamps! I think we spanned the genres this month for sure, wrapping up the week with Bursting Love. I admit, this set was a struggle for me, but with a bit of research I feel like I was able to create a couple projects any fan would enjoy! Of course, I had to add my normal bit of humor to the mix. (wink) Don't forget, the new release sets will all be available tomorrow, Friday the 22nd at 11am EST.
I used the Spaceship Paneling Stencil with Nuvo Glitter Paste in Silver Gem over a card panel that I had previously treated with Nuvo Shimmer Powder in Storm Cloud. I colored the images with Copic markers, using all the cool greys, and popped them onto the card with a die cut balloon from my stash and the sentiment. A few Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ebony Black completed the card.
For the CAS (clean and simple) card above, I was trying to emulate the egg that the parasitic little creature hatches from. I used a piece of green vellum over the stamped and colored little parasite. With my blending brushes, I inked the underside of the vellum with Black Soot Distress Oxide to create that haze around the egg's perimeter. I adhered the top panel flat to the card base; the image behind the vellum window wouldn't have been as visible otherwise.
