It is time for another Kitty Bee Designs Aloha Friday Challenge! The theme for Challenge #129 is In the Sky, with sponsor Star Stampz.
I used the adorable Balloons And Ice Cream digital image for my share today. I printed the image onto Canson Mix Media paper and colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens. I wanted a very soft wash of blue in the sky, so I scribbled the pen onto my counter and picked up with a very wet brush to paint the sky.
I chose not to make this a birthday card, but more one to celebrate or encourage bravery and adventure. The sentiment is from My Mind's Eye Wander collection. This is the first time I've printed on the mixed media paper and watercolored. I ink did move a bit in some areas; maybe I'll try heat setting or waiting overnight before painting next time. Overall, I still think she looks adorable, suspended with her ice cream, embracing wherever the wind may take her. Until next time.. let adventure be your guide! xo
