I am so stoked to play with the latest installment to the Kindred Stamps Travel Around the World series, Travel to Scotland. This set also doubles as our Wacky Holiday set for International Bagpipes Day (March 10). My maiden name is Bean, from the Scottish clan MacBean. I wish I knew more about my Scottish heritage, but I know it's in me blood. ;) Scroll down for a fun new ATC Swap announcement!!

I colored all of the images with Spectrum Noir TriBlend alcohol markers, adding detail with a white gel pen. I tried hard to create various tartan plaids and enjoyed playing with various color groups.
I wanted to use the Standing Stones Craft Die but not as a full border. Instead, I wanted it as a sloping landscape with the stones at the highest point. The Scottish highlands have such beautiful rolling green hills with rocky cliffs over the ocean. That was my inspiration for the card and ATCs (artist trading cards) below.
I inked the ocean with Chipped Sapphire, grassy hill with Rustic Wilderness, and stones with Pumice Stone Distress Oxide inks. You may also be asking yourself why I created a whole set of ATCs?? Well, it is time for another ATC Swap!! The theme this time is Kindred Travel -- travel across the world, through space or time. I can't wait to see how you interpret this fun new theme!!
