I fell in love with this set when Amy was still just Amy Doodle, before the launch of Witt & Sass Stamp Company. I still have the digital images from that set, and it is such a treat to have a physical set to play with now. I love all things magic and the Magical Creature set is a perfect fit!

I made two projects with this set--a card and treat topper, perfect for Halloween. I stamped my images with Copic friendly image, but didn't stamp multiple times for a crisp image. If I think of it ahead of time, I stamp and leave my stamps on the lid of my Misti so that I can stamp over my COLORED images with VersaFine Onyx Black ink for crisp, bold lines. You really need a stamp positioner, like the Misti, for this, but you will always be amazed by the result. Here is the badger before his finishing stamp. :)
I wanted this guy to be practicing his charms, floating a feather. So, I used a feather (happily provided by one of our chickens). I encourage you to join the Witt & Sass Stamp Company Facebook group, where you will find a digital download of companion images for this set. I used the plant and stack of books to finish embellishing this card.
I embossed the "H" along a narrow strip of cardstock then inked over with Distress Oxide in black soot--I do not have a yellow embossing powder, so I stamped in a golden yellow then embossed in clear. The badger is attached to the card front, while the golden panel is popped up with foam adhesive. Glossy accents was added to that crystal globe for fun.
The treat tag was made using a die from Jaded Blossom. I muddied up a piece of orange mirror cardstock with black and gunmetal alcohol inks. I wanted to create a smoky, potions look and love how it turned out.
The sentiment and cauldron are both from the digital set offered as a freebie in the W&S Facebook group, and glossy accents was added to the bubbly potion into the cauldron as well as the flask held by our magical slithering student.
The snake and cauldron were attached to the tag panel with foam tape, the sentiment was adhered flat. A scattering of rhinestones added some magical fun. The tag was then tucked over a bag of gummy worms as a yummy surprise.
